“The Last Supper”
“The Last Supper”
SYNOPSIS: After twenty – six year living with her husband and for all the differences in their behavior and thoughts, Mihan Mashreghi, a professor of architecture, gets divorce from him with the insistence of her daughter, Setareh. Moved to her old father house, she begins a new life with her daughter and her nanny, Afagh, but when one of his youngl students, Mani Motaref enters her life, everything start to change …
DIRECTOR’S VIEW: THE LAST SUPPER follows the same tracks of RED and FIRE AND WATER, but it is a more developed picture in structural and intellectual aspects. Also in THE LAST SUPPER, main characters are confronted by each other and known by the audience in crucial situations. Of course, I enjoy that these characters are making decision in such crucial situations.
“…[Director] Jeyrani demonstrates the firm control and discipline that Todd Haynes brought to FAR FROM HEAVEN.” – Kevin Thomas, LOS ANGELES TIMES
